Property building in Ardoe House Hotel & Spa
Lovely first impression of building. Inside nicely decorated though showing wear and tear though added to charm. Good selection at buffet breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room lovely. Spa and swimming pool lovely although had to go outside and no rain covered area to it. Lovely walkers biscuit each morning with new supplies of tea, coffee and milk. Water bottles in fridge replenished daily. Had lovely facials at Spa. Early morning swim was good and spa staff very helpful. Swimming pool open from 6am til 9pm and free to hotel guests. There was a timetable of swim activities such as aquafit etc on although I didn’t use these. Would def visit here again especially loved the friendly highland cow in the grounds. Just needed a bagpipe player standing at the hotel doorway for a full Scottish experience.

I was truly enchanted by the property, steeped in rich history and brimming with life during my stay, which included two beautiful weddings and a delightful birthday celebration. The grounds are absolutely stunning, offering the chance to spot native Scottish deer. The attentive staff were always available to assist with any needs, and I was blown away by the exquisite dining experience—every meal, from the hearty breakfast to the delectable buckwheat salad and heavenly desserts, was nothing short of five-star quality! I also treated myself to a rejuvenating seaweed-hot massage that provided the perfect retreat for my mind and body. The incredibly comfortable bed ensured I enjoyed restful nights. I wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional place for any occasion, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Large comfortable room. Super sized bed. Great shower. Plenty of parking. 20m indoor pool - not over-heated so good for doing laps. Buffet breakfast not overly fancy but plenty to choose from. Dinner meals (Sri Lankan Vegie curry and Beef Ale Pie and Mash) were great and saved us from having to drive back into Aberdeen. Lovely to be able to eat dinner in the lounge room overlooking the grounds. Even with a wedding ceiligh for 300 guests happening in one of the function rooms there wasn't any disruptions. Not sure if we got some special deal but our booking was great value. Not much more per night than staying in a hostel in Edinburgh. And we got breakfast as part of the package. And it was Friday/Saturday night.

Our room was comfortable. I'm glad we paid a wee bit extra to get a room with a view of the beautiful gardens. The variety of food available at breakfast time was impressive. We went for a swim in the spa on both days that we stayed at the hotel. We were surprised there were so few people in the pool on the first evening. On the morning of our departure, there were parent and baby classes taking place in the pool, but it was sectioned into lanes, so we didn't get in each others' way. This is a beautiful hotel, we've visited a number of times, and will book again in the future when we're planning a trip to Aberdeen.

Beautiful property catering mainly for large events, weddings etc. Plenty of parking and good disabled facilities, albeit we did have to ask for a shower mat as none was provided. Ideal for families and large groups, with catering to match. Food and bar very expensive for what was on offer - no wine list and chef was heavy with the salt. Wouldn’t recommend the restaurant (Wagyu steak was the toughest steak/poorest cut ever), which was quite disappointing as this place externally offers more than it delivers - especially as the pool and spa were closed during our stay.
